Sometimes a workplace may not have a specific person who handles the health and safety on the job. Many times, HR staff and mangers are tasked with safety in addition to their other duties. In this course we will discuss how important it is to develop and implement a good health and safety program. We will review record keeping and injury reporting requirements that are rapidly changing for US employers to electronically submit their OSHA 300 A records to OSHA. We will discuss how to handle a visit from OSHA or MIOSHA and how to post a citation if needed. We will discuss how to request a PRA (Payment Reduction Assessment), what is an OSHA recordable injury, the requirements to have programs in writing and much more in this course. This course is not only for HR managers, but for new safety managers or those who may have a greater responsibility with safety on your job site.
